We attended a food tour and had a delightful time! We went to small, local restaurants and tasted a huge variety of Hungarian foods and drink. Our guide was delightful. She explained each sample and provided alternatives for dietary restrictions/choices. We learned so much about Hungary’s history and culture and even brought home some recipes! It was a delightful experience!

One of the best experiences I’ve had as a traveller to another country. George was the most amazing host, making us all feel welcomed and sharing his knowledge of the food, culture and history of Budapest and Hungary with us, which was fascinating. The cooking class he offers is such a unique experience, easy enough for all skill levels, and a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture and meet people with similar interests. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend!

George was excellent. I really enjoyed our brief stops at the food stalls at the Great Market Hall to buy vegetables and chicken. We also had samples, including wine and pickled foods. After a short walk we arrived at George's apartment, which includes a professional grade cooking facility. George's instructions were clear and simple, breaking the recipe into easy to follow steps, that we will be able to repeat at home. The group shared the meal we prepared together. Such an excellent experience.

I had a wonderful time. I signed up for a Hungarian cooking course with a market tour. Small group, lovely classmates and our chef/guide was very nice and professional. The class takes place in a nearby air-conditioned apartment (it was very hot outside that day). Clear explanations and very tasty result. If I had more time I would sign up again to learn other dishes.
